# Board bring-up

> Prerequisites for accelerated boards — get the vendor's base image booted and online before installing the AcuSight edge agent.

Some accelerated boards need their base operating system in place before they can run the AcuSight agent. This is a one-time, vendor-side step — get the board booted and on the network with the manufacturer's image first, then [connect it](/guides/deploy/device-provisioning) like any other device.

Once a board boots to its vendor image and can reach the internet outbound, it meets the [requirements](/hardware/supported-devices#requirements) and is ready to join your fleet.

## Synaptics Astra

Synaptics ships a ready-to-run (OOBE) image for the Astra boards, and their documentation walks you through flashing it and getting the board online. Start from the setup guide for your board's series, then come back to AcuSight to install the agent:

* **SL1600 series** — [Set up Astra (SL1600)](https://developer.synaptics.com/docs/sl/sl1600/getting-started/setup-astra)
* **SL2600 series** — [Set up Astra (SL2600)](https://developer.synaptics.com/docs/sl/sl2600/getting-started/setup-astra)
