The hosted acusight.io service needs no command-line tooling — you use AcuSight entirely through the app and, for automation, the REST API. The make targets that bring up and manage an AcuSight stack (starting, stopping, and updating the services, provisioning across deployment modes) are for self-managed and on-prem deployments only.

Self-managed tooling

Self-managed deployments run the stack from the delivered bundle, driven by a set of make targets for each deployment mode — bring-up, teardown, logs, and updates. The exact commands depend on how your environment is provisioned.
The command reference for self-managed deployments ships with the on-prem package. Contact your AcuSight representative to scope a self-managed or air-gapped deployment.
