The servers, networking, and reverse proxy that front your workspace are run and maintained for you — nothing to stand up or keep patched.
Scaling
Capacity for training, image processing, and telemetry is managed for you, so you don’t provision or size servers yourself.
Storage
Your projects, datasets, models, and device metadata live on managed cloud storage — there’s no database or file server for you to run.
Updates
Platform updates and fixes are rolled out for you, so you don’t patch or upgrade the platform yourself.
What you own
You’re responsible for the things that are genuinely yours: your devices, the data you collect, your models, and who’s in your organization. Everything on that list is managed from the dashboard — see Fleet management and Orgs, users & multi-tenancy.Data retention
Most of your data — datasets, dataset versions, and trained models — is kept until you delete it. The main exception is recorded video, which is retained for about 24 hours so recording storage stays bounded.
